Musashi's power is determined by 4 things: body (strength), mind (defense), Fusion and Lumina. You'll wander through the various areas surrounding Allucaneet Kingdom jumping around (X button), bashing enemies, stealing their money and gaining experience. Armed with both the Fusion and Lumina swords, Musashi becomes a walking death trap, capable of vanquishing enemies with some very cool moves. You'll have to acquire the legendary sword Lumina right at the beginning to prove yourself to those good people. Unfortunately, the Musashi of legends turns out to be much punier and feeble looking than the habitants of the castle would've liked. You'll begin your adventure in Allucaneet Kingdom after being summoned by the nosy princess to defend her land against the evil Thirstquencher Empire. It's a very light-hearted and fun game, with just the right dose of challenge and quirkiness to appeal to almost every type of gamer. Actually, BFM is much more of an RPG than Zelda really is, and isn't advantageously compared to Nintendo's greatest adventure game. While a digital re-release for North American consumers would be welcomed by fans of the game, it seems something must be holding this possibility up, otherwise it could have been easily made available on the North America PlayStation Store 10 years ago as well.During its release 1998, and soon after the coming of the legendary Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Brave Fencer Musashi was looked at as the supposed "Zelda Killer" for the PSX. The PSOne Classic version of “Brave Fencer Musashi” was released on the PlayStation store for Japanese customers just before its 10 year anniversary on July 9, 2008. While we could speculate that this means a re-release of the action game, perhaps as a PSOne Classic for the PlayStation Store, the video was not shared to the North America Square Enix YouTube channel. The video features artwork of classic characters from the game, including Musashi, Princess Fillet, and various townspeople and villains the player encounters with some of the most memorable musical tracks from the game playing at the same time.Īt this point, it seems that Square Enix is simply recognizing the PlayStation title’s milestone, as there are no announced plans for a new Musashi game as of yet.
